The event was attended by Mr. Siwawut Sangsawasdi, Director of the Office of Vocational Education Commission of the Ministry of Education of Thailand, Liu Zilin, Secretary of the Party Committee of LZPU, Zhao Congkui, Deputy Director of the Liuzhou Municipal Education Bureau, Lu Shichang, Director of the Liuzhou Luosifen Industry Development Center, Mo Wanhua, Secretary-General of the Liuzhou Luosifen Association, and other leaders. Also present were representatives from Thai educational institutions, local member units of the Community in Liuzhou, and new member units, as well as leaders, teachers, and students from relevant functional departments and secondary schools of LZPU. Together, they witnessed the development of the Industry-Education Integration Community for the Local Specialty (Intangible Cultural Heritage) Food Industry entering a new stage of development.
In his speech, Liu Zilin emphasized that the Community plays a key role in deepening industry-education integration, promoting school-enterprise cooperation, and supporting industrial revitalization. It effectively drives the development of the national local specialty (intangible cultural heritage) food industry and helps bring the "Taste of China" to the world. Looking ahead, the Community will continue to deepen school-enterprise cooperation, strengthen scientific research innovation and standardization efforts, and enhance talent support for industrial development. It will further promote the branding and internationalization of local specialty food industries, with a particular focus on strengthening cooperation with ASEAN, especially with Thailand's food industry and related sectors. By efficiently coordinating and serving both international and domestic markets, the Community will further demonstrate its leading role and contribute to the high-quality development of China's economy, helping the "Taste of China" gain greater recognition throughout ASEAN.
At the awarding ceremony, Zhao Congkui and Lu Shichang presented plaques to three new member units of the Community: Thailand's Roi Et Vocational College, Chongqing Qingyizhen Import and Export Trading Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Liuchao Food Technology Co., Ltd. Roi Et Vocational College, a public higher vocational institution in Roi Et Province, Thailand, specializes in talent cultivation and technical services for the food industry. It has established a mature system for talent development and technology promotion within the Southeast Asian food sector. Chongqing Qingyizhen Import and Export Trading Co., Ltd. has long been dedicated to cross-border trade in halal foods, with a focus on the export business of local specialty foods such as halal Luosifen. Guangxi Liuchao Food Technology Co., Ltd. is a locally based technology-driven enterprise, focusing on the R&D, production, and quality control of halal Luosifen. The company has achieved remarkable results in refining halal food processes and tailoring flavors to meet international market demands.
After the awarding ceremony that day, representatives from China and Thailand held a special seminar to engage in in-depth discussions on the Community's work arrangements and China-Thailand cooperation plans. They clarified project milestones and the division of responsibilities, laying a solid foundation for subsequent cooperation.
The Community was established in 2024, led by LZPU in collaboration with Guangxi Luobawang Food Technology Co., Ltd. and Jiangnan University. Its members include upstream and downstream enterprises, research institutions, as well as colleges and universities within the industry. Moving forward, the Community will prioritize hosting an innovation and entrepreneurship competition in Thailand themed around Liuzhou Luosifen. It will collaboratively establish the Liuzhou Luosifen International Entrepreneurship Institute and launch a "Skills + Thai Language" cross-border e-commerce order-oriented class. Additionally, an exchange student program between Chinese and Thai educational institutions will be initiated to enable mutual recognition of academic credits. Efforts will also be made to introduce local specialty foods such as Liuzhou Luosifen onto Thai campuses through the establishment of stalls and the sale of pre-packaged products. These initiatives aim to upgrade local specialty foods such as Liuzhou Luosifen from simple "product export" to comprehensive "technology and standard export". By leveraging industry-education collaboration as a key link, the Community will establish a replicable model for Chinese characteristic industries expanding overseas, contribute to the preservation of intangible cultural heritage, and support the development of international dual circulation. At the same time, it will provide multi-dimensional support for China's local specialty industries to deepen engagement with ASEAN markets, build a platform for transnational cooperation, explore new models of cross-border e-commerce, and enhance mutual learning in vocational education alongside the integration of folk culture. This approach solidifies the dual foundation of "industry-education collaboration + cultural ties", ensuring coordinated industrial growth and cultural heritage transmission.
