From News Center (Text by Wu Zhaohui, International Exchange Department; Photo by LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd.) "We are very excited to meet our Vice Governor in China!" On the afternoon of October 21, 2025, Cik Ujang, Deputy Governor of South Sumatra Province, Indonesia, led a corporate delegation to LZPU Guantang Campus to visit 29 Indonesian students from the province at the university. Upon learning that the delegation group of their hometown was coming, the students waited in front of the training building early. Qiu Fuming, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC LZPU Committee and Vice President of LZPU, and relevant persons in charge of the International Exchange Department accompanied the reception.
Cik Ujang and his delegation learned in detail about the students' living and studying conditions in China, and paid special attention to the students' Chinese learning arrangements. He encouraged everyone to cherish the opportunity of studying abroad, study hard, and become a bridge connecting the friendship between the two countries in the future. Indonesian student representative Gilbert said that he would work hard to learn "Chinese + skills" and contribute to the development of his hometown after returning home.
Qiu Fuming expressed his gratitude to Cik Ujang for making a special trip to visit the students during his busy schedule, and solemnly promised that LZPU will take good care of every Indonesian student and fully implement the "Chinese + Skills" training program. At the same time, he also said that in the future, relying on the China-Indonesia TVET Industry-Education Alliance, LZPU will continuously develop projects that benefit both schools and enterprises to promote vocational education and talent training between China and Indonesia to a new level.
The 29 students who participated in the meeting are from Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya, South Sumatra, Indonesia. Among them, 11 are participants in the short-term LiuGong tailored class, and 18 are "1+1+1" school-enterprise dual-diploma students. In 2025, relying on the China-Indonesia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship of Intelligent Vehicle, LZPU further expanded its presence in Indonesia by enrolling a total of 131 students across 8 partner institutions. Committed to industry-education integration, LZPU has steadily expanded its influence in Indonesia and is now seen as a hallmark of China’s vocational education by the Indonesian TVET community. So far, LZPU has enrolled a total of 294 international students from 31 countries. The campus maintains a vibrant international atmosphere, providing strong support for the university’s goal of becoming a top-tier international vocational institution.
