From News Center (Reported/Photos by Liu Xiaoyan from the Publicity Department of the Party Committee) In order to implement the decision and deployment of the Central Government and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College (LVTC) started the COVID-19 vaccination work on May 16 in the gymnasium of Shewan Campus in accordance with the national and the autonomous region's COVID-19 vaccination work requirements targeting key industries and groups, as well as the work arrangements of Yufeng District Health Commission.

The schedule for people to get the first vaccination dose took two days. The work for the faculty and students to get vaccination has now carried out in a solid, steady and orderly manner under the careful planning, mobilization and organization of LVTC. First, all faculty and students are mobilized in advance to complete the pre-registration of vaccination information, and LVTC issued notices to inform them of the process and precautions; second, teachers and students are organized to get a vaccination in different periods so as to avoid the crowded peak hours and save time; third, LVTC does a good job in traffic control and guidance, and prohibits car traffic and parking in the area from the gymnasium to the Tiangong Building on the vaccination day; fourth, different functional areas are set up reasonably in order to facilitate site management and observation, including a waiting area, an information registration area, a vaccination area, and an observation area; fifth, volunteers actively participate in the vaccination process by assisting medical staff and teachers and providing on-site guidance and assistance.

Although it was hot, the enthusiasm of students and teachers for vaccination could not be stopped. Students and teachers wore masks and waited in line at the waiting area in front of the gymnasium early in the morning, entering the waiting area, information registration area, and vaccination area in turn. After the vaccination, people were required to rest under observation for 30 minutes in the observation area on the second floor of the gymnasium before leaving. Students and teachers said that the vaccination against COVID-19 was not only about their own health and others, but also about the long-term social stability. Getting free vaccinations is a good thing for the country and the people, so it is incumbent on them to be actively vaccinated.

LVTC attached great importance to the vaccinations. Since early March, it has begun collecting and counting the number of students and staff who are willing to receive the vaccination, and a coordination meeting was held on the morning of May 10 to speed up the vaccination process. All departments and secondary schools also conducted sufficient publicity and mobilization for the COVID-19 vaccination. The free vaccination was expected to be completed by the end of June, which would effectively protect the lives and health of the students, faculty, and staff, and help build an immune barrier for society.
