Forge Ahead on a New Journey! LVTC Holds the Teaching and Scientific Research Conference for the Academic Year 2021-2022

The theme of the conference is studying, publicizing and implementing the guiding principle from the 20^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and forging ahead to build a modern LVTC. Members of the leadership team and all faculty and staff of LVTC attended the conference.

The conference started with the video "Studying and Implementing the Guiding Principle from the 20^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Endeavoring to Build a Modern LVTC", reviewing the achievements of LVTC in teaching and scientific research in the past year.

Vice President Ju Hongxia delivered the Report on Teaching and Scientific Research of LVTC for the Academic Year 2021-2022, comprehensively summarizing and reviewing the achievements of LVTC in the past academic year, introducing the new practices of LVTC in the mechanism of integration between industry and education, cultivation mode, management system, classroom form, and innovation and entrepreneurship education, and a series of landmark achievements in implementing the National Double High-level Plan (i.e. high-level vocational colleges and high-level majors), and analyzing the current situation and challenges. Ju proposed that on the new journey, LVTC will continue to promote the reform of teaching and scientific research, make concerted efforts to implement the National Double High-level Plan, and endeavor to achieve the goal and vision of building a modern LVTC.

To commend outstanding individuals and teams for their fruitful achievements in teaching and scientific research in the past year, various awards for teaching and scientific research achievements were granted to them at the conference, including outstanding organizations and individuals for contribution to industry-education integration, awards in the national professional skills competitions for students, excellent instructors in the national professional skills competitions for students, awards for national-level teachers and teachers at the autonomous region level, and awards for contribution to scientific research and contribution to scientific research platform.

Liu Zilin, Secretary of the Party Committee of LVTC, made a concluding speech, fully affirming the excellent achievements of LVTC in teaching and scientific research in the past year, and extending warm congratulations to the excellent teams, teachers and students who have made outstanding contributions and achieved fruitful results. Liu also expressed heartfelt thanks to the enterprises for their support and assistance for LVTC in integration between industry and education and cooperation between enterprises and colleges.

In addition, Liu also put forward three requirements for all faculty and staff of LVTC: First, the current stage is the best for the development of vocational education, all faculty and staff of LVTC should thoroughly study and implement the guiding principle from the 20^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The report of the 20^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has given high priority to the strategy of invigorating China through science and education, and vocational education plays a very important role in managing education to the satisfaction of the people. LVTC should build on the sound momentum generated to vigorously promote integration between vocational education and general education, between industry and education, and between science and education, and open new chapters in the modern vocational education system. Second, all faculty and staff of LVTC should adhere to the innovation-driven development strategy to push forward teaching and scientific research to a higher level of development. Teaching and scientific research are the foundation of running and managing a school. To achieve high-quality development, LVTC must adhere to the innovation-driven development strategy, target the global science frontiers, serve the main economic battlefield, strive to fulfill the significant needs of the country and the real needs of the people, improve the innovation ability of LVTC in an all-round way, and make new breakthroughs in high-quality and high-level development of vocational education. Finally, all faculty and staff of LVTC should carry forward the great founding spirit of the Party and the craftsmanship of LVTC to open new chapters in the high-quality development of LVTC. We are now in the best stage of vocational education development. All faculty and staff of LVTC should pull together with solidarity, work hard and work well, always adhere to the original aspiration and mission of vocational education, actively carry forward LVTC's craftsmanship with the pursuit of excellence, seize the opportunities that the era has offered, set up LVTC models, and achieve various key goals of college development.

According to Liu, LVTC will focus more on high-quality development, deepen cooperation between the college and businesses, and continuously improve the level of double-qualified teachers of LVTC, to provide strong impetus for the sustainable development of LVTC. By studying, publicizing and implementing the guiding principle from the 20^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and with strong support of the CPC Liuzhou Municipal Committee, the People's Government of Liuzhou and LVTC's cooperative enterprises, LVTC will achieve all its goals and usher in a broad prospect of development.
