From News Center (Text by Sun Yunqian, Office of International Exchange; Photo by Wei Zhuang, the School of Automotive Engineering) To support the development of new overseas markets for passenger vehicles, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. entrusted LVTC to train technical service personnel of distributors in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The School of Automotive Engineering selected and dispatched Wei Zhuang to conduct systematic training in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. As of February 10, Mr. Wei has completed a one-week training for the key technicians of four subordinate dealers of Al Rakhaa Trading Company (RTC), the Egyptian distributor of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor.

In order to ensure the quality of training, Mr. Wei did a lot of preparation before the training. He started to visit the 4S stores of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor in September last year for on-the-spot observation and study, familiarize himself with various models, and prepare the training syllabus and courseware according to the distributors' learning needs. Asked about the unexpected problems encountered in the actual work of the workshop, Mr. Wei, with his solid professional level and teaching ability, explained in the form of theory and practical training. In addition to confident and patient interpretation, he demonstrated clearly to the trainees. The trainees have experience in automotive repair techniques and a good background in higher education. Because of their strong receptiveness to skills and knowledge, the training achieved good teaching results and Mr. Wei received excellent feedback on his teaching. Inspired by the trainees' praise and high learning enthusiasm, Mr. Wei said, "My goal is to teach foreigners to repair cars, even if there are problems such as language barriers, intense schedules, and difficulties in adapting to life abroad. It is worth all the effort and hard work to spread Chinese auto repair technology overseas on behalf of LVTC." The trainees' progress and recognition of him have increased Mr. Wei’s confidence. He is looking forward to the upcoming training in Saudi Arabia.

It is reported that the training will last until February 27, involving Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The training in Egypt is still in progress. In the past few years, to eliminate the impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the School of Automotive Engineering and the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering have conducted overseas training online and offline to help Liuzhou-based enterprises go global. Last year, LVTC overcame difficulties and sent two groups of teachers to Thailand and Indonesia to train and certify the teachers of LiuGong-LVTC International Craftsman College, which favorably supported the global business expansion of Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd., SAIC-GM-Wuling, Guangxi Automobile Group, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor and other enterprises. Mr. Wei's training for Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor is LVTC's first overseas training program in 2023. Adhering to the national policy of opening-up in education, LVTC will continue supporting local enterprises' global development.
