From News Center (Text/Photo by Wang Xinzhi, Office of International Exchange) In order to further understand the basic situation of vocational education in Thailand, Liu Zilin, Secretary of the Party Committee of LVTC, led a delegation to visit the Vocational Education Commission of the Ministry of Education of Thailand (Vocational Education Commission of Thailand) on July 3. Thanu Vongjinda, Chief Executive Officer and Secretary-General of the Vocational Education Commission of Thailand, warmly received the delegation.

An exchange meeting kicked off with a tea art performance by students from Thai vocational colleges. After receiving wreaths and tasting pastries made by students, Liu Zilin expressed his gratitude to the Vocational Education Commission of Thailand for its careful preparation and warm reception. Liu noted that his delegation came with the intention to cooperate. Since RCEP came into force, Sino-Thai exchanges and cooperation have become closer and deeper in economy, culture, education and other aspects. In this context, vocational education shoulders the responsibility of cultivating talent, exchanging technologies and providing support for the economic development of the two countries. At present, some outstanding Chinese enterprises are investing and developing in Thailand. The purpose of LVTC's exchange and cooperation with Thailand is to provide strong support and guarantee for the development of international enterprises from Liuzhou in Thailand. LVTC will cooperate and communicate with Thai education institutions particularly on talent cultivation and technical exchanges in the field of advanced manufacturing.

Somporn Pandam, Deputy Secretary-General of the Vocational Education Commission of Thailand, delivered a speech on behalf of the Thai side. He highly acclaimed LVTC's cooperation with Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. and Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM), expressed great interest in LVTC's practice of joint majors operation by the school and enterprises, and hoped that LVTC and Chinese enterprises would further cooperate with Thai schools to jointly promote the training of vocational education talents.

The person in charge of the Office of International Exchange, LVTC introduced the basic situation of LVTC and its main practices in international exchanges and cooperation to the Vocational Education Commission of Thailand, especially the progress of the "Global Customer Experience Center" jointly built by LVTC, LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. and PIM, as well as LVTC's important mission of promoting the cooperation between vocational colleges of China and Thailand as a member of the Thailand Work Group of "China-ASEAN Vocational Education Federation".

Vocational education in Thailand is divided into three levels, namely secondary, higher and undergraduate. Certificates, diplomas and bachelor's degrees are granted accordingly. At present, there are 433 public vocational colleges in Thailand. Except vocational undergraduate colleges, most of them carry out secondary and higher vocational education at the same time. All public and private vocational colleges are administered by the Vocational Education Commission of Thailand, and their foreign cooperation and exchange work is also coordinated by the authority.

The delegation's visit to the Vocational Education Commission of Thailand laid a foundation for LVTC to further expand its cooperation with Thai vocational colleges. According to its international exchanges and cooperation plan, LVTC will support LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. to further expand the functions of Thailand Training Center, expand cooperation with vocational colleges at different levels in Thailand, provide LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. with worker training support, and help the Thai Branch become a core business carrier of LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. in Asia-Pacific. At the same time, LVTC will pay close attention to the dynamics of BYD, Gotion High-Tech and other Chinese enterprises in Thailand, grasp their needs for talent cultivation and training, replicate the international industry-education integration model between LVTC and LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. in other professional fields and enterprises, and form a mature paradigm of international exchanges and cooperation exclusive to LVTC.
